Roof Replacement and Chimney Alteration, Denebank Road, West Derby

A complete roof replacement on Denebank Road in West Derby, including alteration and rebuilding of the chimney at the party wall.

This project brought together a new roof and a change to the existing shared chimney. Michael, our customer, shared photographs of the old roof, the replacement and the chimney work in his Google review.

Replacing the roof and altering the chimney

We replaced the roof and took down one side of the chimney. At the party wall, we rebuilt and retoothed the brickwork, leaving the retained chimney supported on one side. The chimney alteration was part of the overall roof project, rather than simply a change to the visible roof covering.

Shared chimney work needs to be considered alongside the roof around it. On this job, the roof replacement and the retained chimney had to be dealt with together. The customer’s close-up photograph shows the change to the chimney brickwork.
