Understanding how visitors use our website

With your statistics-cookie consent, we use Google Analytics to measure website use and Contentsquare for session replays and heatmaps. Contentsquare helps us identify confusing layouts, broken interactions and problems with our enquiry process. It may collect pages visited, clicks, scrolling, device and browser details and cookie identifiers. Our recording configuration masks page text and form content, strips URL query strings and excludes enquiry confirmation pages and logged-in users.

You can decline these cookies and still browse or enquire. Use Manage consent to change your choice; withdrawing consent stops future recording. We also send website enquiries to Tradify to organise and respond to your request; submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.

Roofing enquiries and advertising measurement

Updated 19 September 2026. Roofing Ninjas uses the details you provide in our enquiry forms, including your contact details, postcode and description of the work, to respond to your request and prepare a quotation. Enquiries are stored in our website form system and sent to our business email using Google Workspace. Contact us about your information at info@roofingninjas.co.uk.

With your marketing-cookie consent, we use Google Ads and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and enquiries and to show follow-up advertising on Google, Facebook and Instagram. These services may receive your IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, pages visited and actions such as clicking a telephone, WhatsApp or enquiry button or successfully submitting a form. A button click does not tell us that a conversation or booking took place.

Our advertising events also distinguish the local roofing page viewed and whether a visit was referred by Checkatrade or TrustATrader when that information is available. We use this information to make follow-up advertising relevant and measure which advertising leads to enquiries. Our custom advertising events do not include the name, email address, telephone number or message you enter in the quotation form.

You can decline marketing cookies and still browse the website or request a quote. Use the cookie-preferences control to change or withdraw consent for future marketing tracking. Google and Meta also provide controls over advertising in your accounts with them. For further information about cookies, see our Cookie Policy. When you choose a WhatsApp link, you leave our website and WhatsApp processes the information you send through its service.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you’re using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: Gravatar Privacy Policy. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you do not have to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely to allow us to recognize and automatically approve any follow-up comments instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For registered users on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for changing their username). Website administrators can also view and edit this information.
